About Lelia Lattimore

Lelia Hall Lattimore, a native of Asheville, is a versatile professional musician who has performed and taught throughout the region for 25 years.

As a freelance musician, Lelia has provided entertainment for hundreds of events yearly in homes, churches, and beautiful destinations throughout North and South Carolina.

Harp music is the perfect accompaniment for celebratory events, corporate functions, and memorial services.

Lelia can also arrange collaboration with other instrumentalists and is comfortable accompanying vocalists. In addition to performing solo Lelia is a member of the Blue Ridge Harp Ensemble, a group of four professional harpists that are available for events.

Experience

Lelia Lattimore is the Principal Harpist with the Asheville Symphony, and also performs regularly with the Spartanburg and Hendersonville Symphony. 2006 also held performances with the Greenville Symphony, Asheville Choral Society, Asheville Symphony Chorus, and Carolina Concert Choir as well as numerous church choirs and the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theater.

Lelia has also played with John Denver, Michael W. Smith, Ray Charles, Robert Goulet, Roberta Flack, Kathy Lee Gifford, and Mark O'Connor.

Teaching

Lelia is an experienced, enthusiastic instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages and levels on lever or pedal harps, Lelia teaches in Asheville or Shelby, NC. She encourages participation in ensemble playing and directs Harps in Harmony - a youth ensemble. Lelia is the president of the Blueridge Chapter of the American Harp Society.
